MITA: Medicaid Information Technology Architecture

MITA is a Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS)framework for measurement of technology maturity within state and federal Medicaid and Medicare systems.

 MITA divides the state Medicaid Enterprise into 10 business areas, and further into 80 defined business processes. MITA requires As-Is descriptions, maturity evaluations, and To-Be visioning and planning for each business process. MITA further defines Maturity scorecards for business, information, and technical maturity, and links these scores to the MECT, MEET, or OCB certification processes for enhanced federal funding of technology investments.

 ReadyCert has been in continuous use for MITA since 2012 by both state and vendor clients.
